Rachel Shenton was born in Caverswall, Stoke-on-Trent. Shenton is a British actress currently portraying Mitzeee Minniver in Channel 4's hit series 'Hollyoaks'.
Shenton's career began in theatre at a young age and she made her debut TV appearance aged just 18 in 'Holby City'. Afterwards, Shenton went on to appear in a string of successful television series, such as 'Waterloo Road' and 'Doctors'. Her television presence continued with recurring appearances in Nickelodeon's series 'Genie in the House' and Five's 'Sophia's Diary'.
In April 2010, it was announced that Shenton had been cast in 'Hollyoaks' as Mitzeee Minniver, a wannabe glamour model. Shenton described her character as being the polar opposite of her.
Outside of her professional life, Rachel is well known for her charity work supporting the deaf community, with continuing involvement with Deaflinks in her home town of Stoke-on-Trent. Recently, she has been made an ambassador for the National Deaf Children's Society, who Shenton did a skydive for to raise money in 2011.
